CVS is part of one of the oldest planned communities in the United States. It is a mature community that consists of about 800 townhouses and single family homes resting on the shores of Lake Churchill and Lake Seneca.
Churchill Village - South was built with families in mind. Walking trails and bike paths criss-cross the entire community, which is immediately adjacent to Black Hills Regional Park. In addition to the lakes, CVS offers a host of other recreation opportunities including playgrounds, tennis courts and two swimming pools.
There are two schools within the confines of Churchill Village - South, Lake Seneca Elementary School and Martin Luther King, Jr., Middle School. With Seneca Valley High School nearby, our students can literally walk to school from the first day of kindergarten until they graduate from high school.

Fencing for the Black Hill Regional Park Trail Renovation Project Survey
Greetings:
You are being contacted as a neighbor of Black Hill Regional Park who has shown interest in the project underway to renovate the trail along the east side of Little Seneca Lake. Safety fencing must be installed along portions of the trail where steep slopes or other hazardous conditions exist. Many residents have expressed interest in both the location and appearance of fencing to be installed. Regarding the appearance of the fence, we are re-conducting a community survey to determine the preference between four types of allowable fencing. Photographs of the fence options and instructions for voting appear on the Department of Parks website at:
http://montgomeryparks.org/pdd/projects/fencing_survey_options.shtm
You must cast your vote by January 12th, 2012. We ask that only one vote be submitted per residence. Following the Waters Landing Board of Directors meeting on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 8:00 p.m., Park staff will conduct a community meeting to discuss poll results and fencing option selected. The venue location will be held at 20000 Father Hurley Blvd., Germantown, MD, 20874.
Currently, the proposed fence locations are indicated by orange paint on both the trail surface and the silt fence along the trail. As an aid to further understand the fence placement, a temporary fence will be installed to show the locations of the proposed permanent fencing in the coming weeks. Residents are cautioned to avoid work areas during weekdays when active construction may occur and use caution when reviewing proposed fence locations during the weekends. Park staff will be prepared to answer questions regarding the proposed location of fencing at the upcoming community meeting.
Thank you for your participation and patience in this matter.
